About Me
Prior to my career in hypnotherapy, I worked in high pressure corporate roles, whilst managing the demands of motherhood. The relentless juggling of these demands led to significant stress and anxiety, and I experienced first-hand how stress can impact every aspect of our lives. Chronic stress can lead to unhelpful habits, weight gain, panic attacks, insomnia and negative self-talk that impacts self-esteem and overall quality of life.
Hypnotherapy helped me to overcome significant adverse life situations, re-frame my approach to life and deal with difficult emotions constructively. It is these huge shifts that have inspired and motivated me to support and empower my clients through their various life challenges.
The decision to train as a hypnotherapist was a natural one and I qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist with Hypnotic World who have been teaching hypnotherapists since 1999 to the highest accredited standards available.
As a therapist, I remain fascinated by how our mental and emotional states can have such an impact on our physical wellbeing and vice versa. Anxiety, stress and trauma can manifest in physical symptoms and by learning to be present in our bodies, through meditation, breathwork and movement our mental health and quality of life can be positively impacted.
I am a full member of Hypnotic World and the Professional Hypnotherapy Practitioners Association (PHPA) and adhere fully to their code of ethics and professional practice with whom I have regular supervision to ensure that I work to the highest ethical standards and to continue my professional development.
As part of my memberships, I have full professional indemnity insurance.
